Job/Role: Trainee, though she's been let go from the ship she was training on.

General Reputation: "Anna" - or Anya, if anybody has managed to get friendly with her - has been unplugged from her matrix for roughly one year. During that time, she has gained a reputation for being competent, efficient, and possibly unsettling; quiet, deliberate, reserved but "difficult" by temperament. She doesn't go out of her way to get along with people, although she has hit the ground running in terms of adapting to her new situation; the year at the time of her extraction from her matrix was 1782, and she's had a great deal of catching up to do. One of the first things she did was rebrand herself by scarring a rose into her hip; possibly your character is aware that subsequently she also spent a lot of time trudging back for medical attention when her heightened pain threshold and tendency to forget to care about injuries meant she'd fucked the injury up again.

She spent a lot of time going from job to job to job, beginning primarily with the historians but also spending time learning basic medical skills (in order to stop having to go and ask for help, mainly), eventually fixing on the idea of joining a ship. Her first effort was unsuccessful, and she's recently returned to Zion after being politely but firmly told she was not a suitable addition to the culture of that vessel.

Anna is not currently known for being a hella team player is what I'm saying.

Looking For: I would definitely be looking for who wants to be the captain of the ship who was all HASHTAG NOT THIS BITCH about her, that could be interesting (and not necessarily negative) CR. People who have tolerated her endless questions about how things work and why they work the way they do. Friends, maybe? Benny's not unfriendly, she's just struggling with her new life and demonstrating it mainly by trying not to acknowledge that it's an issue for her, which is SUPER SUCCESSFUL, obviously.

Notes: I don't imagine anyone actually gives a crap about her real name and I will probably refer to her interchangably, but definitely 'Anna' or 'Anya' w/r/t how other people think of her. The body she's currently in is about a month older than the time she's been unplugged for - it's one of a series of identical clones that her consciousness has been downloaded into upon her "deaths" as an Immortal in her matrix, and the original body she grew up in has been dead for roughly two centuries. Uhhhh things. Oh also she didn't speak English when she was first unplugged.

Sounds like she may have come out green/question-ask-y for Metzger's tastes and he's certainly an asshole enough to have trimmed her off the roster for it -- I expect his ship is bootcampish in a way where he cycles very new people in and out a lot to other ships, with v few kept on for the long haul. Less of a personal thing and more just him being rough on n00bs for (what he feels like is) their own good.

I'll write more along these lines in his CR meme entry I think but it is a thought!

General Reputation: A solid reputation for getting shit done: you want someone who won't crumble under pressure? A solid, well-rounded soldier? A proficient mechanic? A crazy good pilot? Wedge is your man. However, he is aloof at first. High attrition was a thing in his Matrix and now it's a thing in the Real World too, so Wedge needs time to get over his initial 'people die so I'd rather not befriend them' tendencies. Once you get through his cold-and-serious exterior, however, it's all smooth sailing.

Looking For: Other pilots, mechanics, or people he can bond over work with. This is the easiest way to get through Wedge. Other compatibilities are people who are willing to right wrongs and suffer for the common good. Strong morals and ethics, that mushy lawful/neutral/chaotic good alignment stuff.

(Oh, and whiskey. He really, really likes whiskey.)

I'm hoping to get him to commander of his own hovercraft, but for now I'll like to start him out as a pilot. I'm open to ship offers, as I'd like to avoid the Council assigning him to some random ship.

Notes: I'm running with the concept that his Matrix is a popular sci-fi series in other Matrices, so I'm rescinding my usual rule of no fourth-walling out loud: go ahead and have your character (if they have reason to) recognize Wedge as a character from Star Wars. It won't make a damn of a difference to him, though he might be amused depending on your character's reaction.

And yeah, I don't mind if your Star Wars savvy character calls him Veggies.

General Reputation: Natasha is really new. So far the basis of her reputation would be that she was already looking for the reason for the inconsistencies in the Matrix when initially approached and freed; her determination to get fully physically capable in the real world to the point of pushing herself dangerously; and her seeming acceptance that her entire life was a lie of virtual reality. She's really, really adaptable and it might be easy to mistake her for being awake longer than she has been.

Looking For: I'm looking to establish who actually went into the Matrix to talk Natasha through her choice to leave, and taking volunteers from pretty much anyone with the experience to be doing that. The rest of the initial crew who saved her could make for some good established CR too, and anyone working in recovery services like physiotherapy or acupuncture.

Also, if you're a castmate and you want to be from her Matrix, that's awesome, let's work out who was released first, if they've spoken, etc.

Other than that, I'm open to making plans for future CR with absolutely anyone. I'd like to get her a job and establish her in the world but I don't really have concrete plans yet!

Looking For: Pretty much ANYthing, because she's freeborn and the rest of you aren't. She's got the major advantage of growing up out here and is perfectly willing to help people get accustomed to the Real. She's massively eager to become a hovercraft captain, and would be a capable pilot or engineer for any ship who needed one.

General Reputation:

Skye hasn't been unplugged long enough to have a reputation of any kind, but anyone who participated in the team to pull her out would have heard the icky horror stories about the way she brought death everywhere she went within her Matrix. Whether you put stock in pre-Real is another matter entirely, of course. Relatedly, her Matrix was one of superheroes, aliens, and secret spy organizations, all of which would be fairly basic knowledge for anyone who'd talked to her or seen it.

In the Real, she's proving stubborn, trying to speed through her physical therapy and growing frustrated with herself while showing some difficulty in disconnecting the Matrix from the Real and truly leaving it behind.

Looking For:

It'd be great to find some people who want to have participated in the team to do her extraction! Since it will have happened two weeks prior to game start and I know a lot of people came in planning to be much more established than that.

Similarly, I'd like to find her a crew to latch onto, and anyone who'd like to debate and discuss the philosophy of the Experience Machine and associated realities with her as she tries to muddle through her self-actualization. Pls note that Skye doesn't know philosophical terms for any of that stuff, just that she'll be going through the practicality of exploring it.

Also doctors who are maybe doing physical therapy?

Skye's available for all your programmer-y, hacker-y needs. She's predisposed to talent with computer systems, and was primarily self-taught (no matter what Miles Lydon would tell you) within her Matrix.

Eventually, I want to get her looking into whether someone who died in the Matrix could possibly still be alive in the Real (or in another Matrix) because of Trip and her mother.

Job/Role: He will be starting off as a luxury goods merchant (mainly clothing), but I would like to move him towards training.

General Reputation: Crowley has only recently been extracted. He will still be dealing with the personal crisis that comes with discovering that you've done terrible things under the guise of demonic influence that wasn't really there. There will also be the shock of falling from the throne of Hell to what he sees as small and bare living quarters among thousands of other lost souls.

At the start of the game, he will be just finishing his physical therapy and still in crisis about what useful skills he has to offer when so much has been stripped away. For those who might observe him, he alternates between being very boisterous and outspoken while saying very little of substance and being very quiet for long stretches.

Looking For: Crowley will naturally be attracted to canonmates, whether he gets along with them or not, because they're familiar, but he'll seek out company in general, though not necessarily traditional friendships. It will be largely be spurred on by his fear of being alone in an unknown world as well as a search for mutually beneficial situations. I would like to find him some neutral and positive cross-canon CR for sure, because free of his canon circumstances, he's quite capable of relating to others and I'd like to play with his ability to connect to people without the complications of people who know his past actions.

General Reputation: He probably comes across as someone who should be more popular than he is, in terms of serving up a ready dose of courtesy and friendliness in most interactions. He has been amongst the free human population for three years, now, which is not very long in comparison to some, but scaled a quick promotion after two years of service, the circumstances surrounding it being questionable. It's probably known that he has a military background, and is familiar with the kind of war they live in, that being of humankind against something else. Which were probably just programmes, anyway.

He also trains new people, both in Matrix combat as well as maybe some basics, like using the ZDG standard issue weaponry. His disposition makes him a good candidate for people-dealing, even if there is a teflon quality to his soul.

Looking For: I would love some established CR, both from people who have been in Zion for some time as well as those who are slightly new. Perhaps you met him during training, or he assisted in your extraction, or they've frequented the same social outlet, or they've done a tour together, or or or. Both professional as well as casual CR is welcome.

He avoids very much talking about where he came from but I wouldn't mind touching on this one day in a sharing war stories capacity.

Job/Role: Captain

General Reputation: Politics: Metzger is far-leaning to the point of extremism on the anti-machine spectrum, and vocally resistant to compromise with machine influence beyond what’s absolutely necessary for survival. He is suspicious of “benevolent” programs like The Oracle and derisive of widespread use of the network, her supposed gift to mankind. For those more open to cooperation with the machine world, Metzger is a well-known as an all-around pain in the ass. Think John Adams in 1776, with more hostility and less singing.

Business: Although he’s never been pinned down for it, it’s generally understood that Metzger is “connected” with the criminal underworld. He rarely moves black market goods on his own ship, but has fostered relationships in Zion, Irkalla and Antioch over the last two decades that allow for him to make arrangements for other ships to transport arms and other contraband between settlements off the books. He pays a fair cut and most instinctively seem to know better than to doublecross him.

Nidhoggr: Metzger has been Captain for 6 years and was First Mate for 5 years before that. He runs a tight ship and takes pride in being a shock to the system of freshly unplugged recruits who have big ideas about their importance in the scheme of things -- particularly those who previously believed they were superheroes, aliens, elves, etc. Although he’s protective of the crewmembers he maintains, most of the new recruits he gets wind up being cut or request transfers to other ships.

Approximately a year ago, over half of the Nidhoggr’s crew was killed in an incident whose details were never made public. Rumors about the incident, the ship, and Metzger’s skills as a Captain have been stormy in the months since.

Personal Life: It is a mystery. He’s usually working and is difficult to find at celebrations. In the years following the death of the Nidhoggr’s previous Captain, he’s been quieter. Even on the political front.

Looking For: Political (or personal) allies and enemies, business arrangements with other characters inclined to engage in black market trade and crew members past or present. Currently only the position of First Mate is filled by Cage, so bring on your pilots, operators, operatives, engineers, jugglers, etc.

Simon’s been in Zion for 17 years and is infamous to some degree, and recently lost half of his crew, so preconceived notions are welcome. If you have anything you want to establish for previous or upcoming CR hit me up, I’m down.

Notes: Metzger is rough on his recruits, and generally won’t keep anyone that doesn’t have the stomach for vigilante enforcement wrt his business affairs, but those who tough it out are rewarded with a Captain who will defend them to the death. See his app for additional details.

we are already talking anna upthread but preemptive seoraj ideas: has cycled on and off, toured on other ships, but keeps on coming back to nidhoggr / is considered part of that crew that incidentally gets loaned out periodically. he is probably slightly long-suffering about black market involvement but not immune to hypocrisy of "well i trust THIS bastard, just not THOSE bastards".

General Reputation: Though he's only been recently unplugged, Dust already has a reputation as a phenomenal melee combat specialist within the Matrix, as he was quickly pressed into service to get some new targets unplugged before they were killed in their own Matrix. On the downside, he has no technical aptitude beyond the basics, is phenomenally anti-Machine, and tends to spend way too much time in sims.

Looking For: Dust needs people who can give him something to focus on other than his anger. He needs to find a way to live life outside of his Matrix, instead of treating it all like one big quest he'll die in the process of trying to accomplish. He desperately needs someone to banter with. Of course, having people who will feed all of that is also good for contrast...

Notes: One thing that might lead to something interesting down the line, should it come up, is that Dust is really hard to kill within a Matrix -- it would take massive systemic damage to his RSI to actually kill his body in the Real. If and when that is discovered (by Dust as well as everyone else, he has no idea), it might lead to some very interesting repercussions.

Captain is one to banter, but they are also not very grounding in reality! If Dust is desperate enough to need banter and is willing to forsake the aspect of being in touch with the rest of Zion, this might be a good character for him!

In any case, if Captain's luck holds true in other matrices, if these two wind up together on a mission I suspect phenomenal things. Captain faced dozens of death-inducing situations in their own matrix that they avoided because of flukes of luck! That luck even passed on to others so long as they did what the Captain said. Could be a kickass but completely ridiculous combo! ;3

General Reputation: Emily has only been unplugged about 12 weeks, so she probably has very little reputation thus far (as she's not been out of physical therapy/adjustment very long). She's quiet but not standoffish; if your character has reached out, she's probably been friendly enough, if a bit shell-shocked.

Looking For: If anyone would like to have been on her extraction team, I am definitely down for that, and/or anyone who would have been involved in her therapy. Going forward, I would love to find a few people willing to put up with wary questioning or teaching her anything about technology. (She is good with James Bond style gadgets, but anything newer than an Atari, not so much.)

Notes: Despite the fact it doesn't matter anymore, she's probably going to lie about her job in her home matrix for a while if not indefinitely. Force of habit. She will also probably be asking around about her father - or her Matrix-father, anyway. Other people hunting loved ones from their home worlds, unite? I'm also down with hooks resulting from Rachel Weisz' face being in your character's canon, hit me up.

Twelve weeks doesn't seem that short a time! At least she's had the basic month of physical rehab and then a couple more to settle in. If nothing else, she could look at Captain and gauge just how far she's come -- this particular character hasn't caught up with this whole new 'fitting in' rage that seems to be going around, and they don't mind one bit!

If you'd like someone for her to practice her lying upon, Captain can be a sitting duck; they are quite proficient liars in their own right, and are quite observant, but they fall prone to wanting to believe in anything that sounds juicy enough to be too good to be true. Eventually Captain will wish to free the rest of their minions (which is about as close to family as they have)... but that will probably be later. Cap's also extremely good at bluffing their way into positions of authority. If Emily wants to use them for that purpose I'm happy to have Captain steamroll a way through any adversities for her!

He hasn't been out long enough yet to establish much of a reputation, other than that immediately upon being pulled out he seemed to try and fight anyone who got too close. Which was, of course, incredibly pathetic as he was naked and had no muscle development.

Looking For:
I'd like to get Dean active as soon as possible. He won't have any loyalty to any factions or cities, so he's likely to wander through giving everyone the side-eye until he finds some people he deems decent enough to hang around. He's more likely to faction up based on personal interaction than what Zion needs or deems most appropriate. He's also going to be a little hyper-aggressive, having been stuck in Purgatory for the last year (or so he thought), and for that whole, you know, everything was a lie thing.

Basically I'd like at this point:
Bros that want to walk him through this whole Reality thing.
People he can instantly dislike (maybe that changes with time, maybe it grows into a rivalry)

Notes: He'll probably be flocking around his cast mates once he realizes they're here. Apart from that, he's pretty open game.

General Reputation: Peter's been unplugged for about two and a half years. He's established himself as a point of contact/information for smugglers, mostly those with Irkalla connections, and deals primarily in the smuggling of basic goods rather than anything super suspect (weapons, tech, etc). Generally speaking, his reputation is largely what it was in canon — kind of annoying, a little bit illegal, but largely harmless.

I'd love to discuss established CR with any other characters who have been around for a while, or am otherwise a-okay with people having heard his name and assuming he's kind of a tool or w/e.

Looking For: If anyone's looking to get their characters involved in the less seedy side of the criminal underground, we could probably wrangle up something interesting!! On the flipside, anyone who's very by the book or committed to Zion security could make for fun CR. Basically anything and everything atm, long game will be for him to get his own ship, but he needs to make some friends and sort his life out a little first.

Notes: He'll punch you/go cry in his room if you try to tell him his raccoon and tree friends weren't real so be nice ok.

He'll probably be sputtering nonsense about Hell and Lucifer, and being generally paranoid and suspicious of everyone.

Looking For: To start, he'll need people that are calm and capable of being patient with him, if he's going to start to accept Reality. People to antagonize him are also fine, though he won't be putting up much of a fight.

I'd like to set him on the path of recovery, so more positive CR in the beginning is preferred. Nerdy and motherly types will probably be able to get through to him more easily. He'll want to check out the tech and any libraries/information stores that are accessible.

Notes: Once he finds Dean, he'll probably be sticking to him like glue for awhile, so those with Dean CR will also probably result in Sam CR.

Rita isn't a proponent of forming close personal bonds during wartime, certainly not for combatants — but she's not so antisocial that she won't even tell you as much.

Looking For: She's from the same matrix as Cage, who's been unplugged for much longer, so if you've (assumed) CR with him, pls come have CR with me also! If you're serving on Metzger's ship, pls come have CR with Rita also! General Reputation: Emma is probably best described as rough around the edges. She still has a good heart under all of it, she's just not in the most happy place right now and seems to downright refuse letting anybody close enough to really know her. She isn't friendly or rude, just kind of there mostly, and very focused on getting into work as a trainee. When she was initially unplugged she was pretty despondent but she's perked up since then. She's very determined and works very hard to make things better for everyone, and has a bit of a bleeding heart behind all the ten foot barbed wire walls.

Looking For: Anybody warm or friendly that might be able to wiggle in and give her some kind of friendly connection. She will be kind of resistant to this but damnit, I want it anyway. People she's working with, she'll try to help out newly unplugged because she's been there. Somebody she butts heads with because she will. People to secretly baby because she has mom feels.

Notes: Emma is honestly very conflicted about the people she left behind in her matrix. Others with shared canons that remember each other and still value their connections will make her feel a lot better about wondering if the people left behind still remember her or would still care about her if she did manage to save them. In particular, she is worried about Henry, her son. She's even a bit baffled if she actually carried him, so people much more knowledgeable about the xbox might get nooooot so subtle inquisitions.

She will not have told anyone about Henry though. Just fyi. She has total mothering tendencies, it's kinda obvious, but she doesn't talk about him.

General Reputation: Captain's been in Zion for two weeks and has already made enough of a nuisance of themselves that they have been shipped straight to the religious folk in hopes of Grounding an Reorienting him to reality. Captain is happy working down there, as it means that they can spout ridiculous stories all day long to the catatonic and the half-there. This does not stop Captain from wandering all around the city, taking things to add to their stash (they have schemes; those schemes require bits and bobs!) Currently they are probably best known to those who like to visit the temple, though anyone who works or hangs out around Charles Snippy will know Captain as Snippy's eccentric roommate who comes to bother him often and to great, great embarrassment. This means Captain is often up in the hovercraft repair bays, though in the last few days they have had to evade authorities thanks to an issue with a soldering iron and an epic rendition of the Can-Can.

Looking For: CR for now: people who tolerate and encourage Captain's silliness or anyone who wants to try to slap some sense into them. (Spoiler alert: they won't be synced up with reality unless and until they are hospitalized. Unplugged therapy didn't work on them because they were still too woozy to take things seriously!) Anyone with mechanical aptitude and anyone who's willing to humour Captain's brand of authority (that is -- minions!) would be greatly appreciated, as Captain completely believes they are the ruler of a fictitious nation of Captania, one which they wish to grow under the benevolent association of Zion. Anyone easily wooed by truth, beauty, freedom, and excellent dental healthcare is likely going to get an ear-full.

Notes: CR for later: Somehow, I'd love to get Captain into Irkalla. They will have dreams of becoming The Pirate Queen and anyone willing to help me figure out how to get them there would rock! I'd also like to give Captain an excuse to plug in again in order to see if their latent rockin' abilities (extreme luck, temporal anomalies) translate into other matrices. Maybe once Captain's settled more into the Real, someone with an experimental bone in their body and a license to Operate will take them in? Captain is played for laughs almost entirely in their canon, but because things won't work out for them all the time in Zion, I'd love to push them as far as they can go. Any CR that allows that is totally cool by me.

With regards to CR: Captain is extremely observant but has all the clarity of a Greek oracle. If anyone wants Captain to help explain Zion to them, to notice a quirk which could be seen as fishy, or to cry wolf like an idiot, Cap's here to provide. There will also be musical network updates now and then; prepare your minds and bodies, fellow players and characters~! (What I'm trying to say is, if you want aspects to be gossiped about or tweaked and manipulated, let me know which and how.)

General Reputation:
He's quickly becoming the man to grab if your hovercraft has sustained heavy damage, because although he's still learning the more complicated repairs, he's both diligent and incredibly hard working. Charles doesn't do rest breaks and he doesn't do sloppy jobs.

Personality-wise, he likes conversation but gets overwhelmed by too many people. He's got some odd habits left over from before he was extracted, like always having his pockets stuffed with vital supplies in case there's a disaster and having trouble with direct eye contact.

He came back just over a month ago from his first mission, and now there's some new rumours:
1. He's a miserable bastard to be cooped up with for any length of time
2. He's got an anomaly that makes him difficult for his Operators to track, but makes him and anyone near him nigh impossible for hostile programs to locate.
3. He brought a new friend back who darts about him constantly and is insane.

Looking For: I'd like for people with more experience to help teach him engineering, crews to try and (for now) fail to recruit him for his anomaly, and people for him to try to bond with. He's desperately lonely for sane human company.

General Reputation: Isaac's generally pretty good at keeping his head down, but since being unplugged two months ago he's done a few things that people out and about may consider notable. One was yelling loudly at one of the rehabilitation operatives in a public area, as outlined in the first sample over in his app, and the other is approaching freeborn citizens and asking them questions about the world - partially out of curiosity and partially to look for inconsistencies, as he's still not completely convinced this is all real.

Other than that he's most likely to be found repairing hovercrafts or wandering around the life support systems being largely quiet and sullen.

Looking For: Anything and everything! Like I said above, if your character's freeborn and friendly enough to humor unfamiliar redpills wandering up and asking if they can talk to them about the real world Isaac is probably interested in them. It would probably also be really good for him to get on someone's crew, in that it force him to be more socially active and expose him to things that didn't exist in his matrix, and thus hopefully help him break away from his "old life".

Notes: All I can really think to add is that Isaac has a habit of keeping one and precisely one really close friend at a time (and a cluster of friendly acquaintances if he's lucky), and following that friend to the ends of the Earth. Whether that's something he'll keep doing after the shock of being unplugged is up in the air right now, but it may be worth keeping in mind!

Unplugged from her Matrix for a year and a half, Johanna has found great joy and pleasure in jumping back into the Matrix--not to play the hero, and not because she misses it so much--but for the adrenaline rush. What she misses is her power, and she likes the chance to have some again.

She was quick to get started in training as an operative and as a pilot, in order to make herself a more attractive addition to any captain seeking fresh meat, and has since hopped from ship to ship trying to find a crew that she can stand and who can, subsequently, stand her in return. She's known for her risk-taking and her bad attitude, but she's trying to play nicer these days, if only so she doesn't blacklist herself.

Looking For: I have tentative plans for her as having been unplugged by Kate Bishop and on friendly terms with her ("friendly") and tentative plans for having joined a crew (which I will firm up in these here meme). Otherwise I am open to anything at all, either new or preexisting CR.

Bloom was unplugged from his Matrix just about four weeks ago, so he's just now getting his Zion legs under him and exploring what it means for everything to be unwritten and very very real... and kind of freaky scary in the worst/best way. currently he is very overwhelmed.

Looking For: He has absolutely no one and he is no one and I am ready for anything!!! He'll have a lot of questions, but outside of confusion and general moping, Bloom doesn't have a lot going for him. He's a bad friend, he would make a terrible crew member, he's really only very good at acting and lying, he has a lot of quiet issues, and he doesn't do well with talking to people in real settings... but if you can get him to participate, he's a hell of a con man.

Notes: for the thousandth time: fake blood tastes like tinfoil.

Acting and lying are two things at which Captain are very good at, too! In their matrix, Captain rose from test-subject to... well... Captain of a kind of paramilitary due to their own good luck, bluffing, and general seeming competence. (Usually simply yelling and degrading everyone around you works great if they believe themselves to be cogs in a machine!)

While Captain is by no means your average well-grounded citizen, drinking and playing card games sounds like a delightful activity to pass the time. Cap's only six weeks out, so they're similarly newbie-scruffy. If Bloom every meanders down to the Temple region, Captain's been employed by priests there to do mundane tasks... but they often slip away for more interesting shenanigans. We could have established CR from the last couple of weeks of Captain taking Bloom under their wing to talk about how reality isn't real. Captain could probably fake sanity long enough for an interaction or two, though of course there are probably lots of odd tells that suggest they're not wholly on their rocker.

He's been ecstatic about his leg though (he lost it in "his world", so he has it in reality). He's generally polite but distant to strangers, but a jerk to those who piss him off or to those he knows will let him get away with it. Jerk with a heart of gold, really. He's not really a team player, and frequently disobeys direct orders. He really does care about people, though, and would do anything to save a life. He's a cop in "his world". He is currently looking for a job in reality. He can be quite charming, sweet, and caring when he loosens up a bit.

Looking For: Help me decide what to do with him? He's good at fighting, decent at communication, not great with technology. As for cr I'm looking for, I'd say bros (all genders) to hang with (maybe drinking, cards, stuff like that), kids (he sometimes sucks at talking to kids and sometimes doesn't), fellow amputees, fellow cops, romantic interests and sexual encounters (ladies only, and... he's awkward at flirting at first, just fyi), and everything else!! especially looking for a crew willing to add a crew member!!

General Reputation: Steve is very newly unplugged, but among those who've met him he probably does already have a reputation for being a pain in the ass. He pestered anyone who would listen about extracting Bucky before he was even off the table himself, and though he's still in (extended, he's past the four-month mark) physical therapy he's been looking for a crew to take him on. Persistent and determined have likely been the overall impressions, for anyone who's dealt with him. Also he's scrawny.

Looking For: I'm interested in establishing his extraction team and cross-referencing that with Bucky's! Since that would defs be established CR as per above even if Steve winds up elsewhere. At least someone on the crew with pull in some direction will need to have fallen for his charms, by which I mean his righteous persistence. He'll also be looking for a crew of his own, those willing to take on his skinny asthmatic butt even if it takes some convincing (though to be fair he will be an asset within the Matrix for any crew). General Reputation:

Bucky has not been unplugged long, but his extraction may be notable for 1) being the result of some skinny upstart refusing to shut up about it; 2) necessitating the amputation of his left arm. His extraction team would probably know something about about the whole brainwashing thing and his in-universe rep, ~shaping the century~ as some legendary assassin, etc., and maybe the grape vine has passed some of that around.

Since extraction, he's been quiet, self-contained, and generally wary without necessarily voicing the depth of his doubts about reality, which can give the impression that he's coping halfway decently! (Spoilers: he’s not.) In physical therapy, he's tended to push himself to exhaustion without much independent awareness that he, y'know, maybe shouldn't do that. Non-supersoldier bodies, how do they work, etc. Also he always seems to be flipping a pen around for some reason!! It's fine don't be alarmed.

Looking For:

• Extraction crew: AKA members of whatever team some 95lb asthmatic convinced to help unplug his best friend. If Steve’s persuasiveness isn’t sufficient, Bucky is pretty high on his Matrix’s list of dangerous people likely to be violently against letting the machines keep any human batteries whatsoever, given his history with mind control. If that helps. Any and all extraction CR would be a great way to get past Bucky’s usual cagey demeanor, too.
  
• Bald Naked Baby Friends: Anybody still in physical therapy or recently released, he could have weirdly stared at and not really conversed with yet? I’d love to establish something and launch off from there.
  
• Canonmates???: Come here, let’s work out if we know each other exists yet.
  
• Trainers: Bucky will be rly reluctant to enter the simulation at first b/c that chair sure looks a lot like this, so I would especially love somebody to help convince him it’s not a brainwashing machine, if that interests you! Looking For: Looking for CR that would have a positive influence on Ellie, looking for CR that would have a negative influence on Ellie. Looking for friends for Ellie, looking for enemies. Would love CR where Ellie can just be a kid, be that CR with other kids or CR with adult characters that like kids. Would love CR where people teach Ellie things, guide her, encourage her.
