General Reputation: Ellie comes across as a very capable, very resilient teenager who seems wise beyond her years in some ways and extremely naive in other ways. She's intensely curious and asks a lot of questions. When she trusts someone, she can easily become very attached to them. When she doesn't trust someone, she's distant, very guarded and can even be downright hostile, sometime to the point of threatening to harm or kill. She has no concept of things most teenagers would, such as fashion and bands and dating. She loves puns and stupid jokes, loves comic books, is fascinated with things like music and movies (things that are very rarely accessible in her Matrix world), and learning about other people. She has a temper and can be impulsive; sometimes she doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut. Ellie has a foul mouth; she swears a lot.

Looking For: Looking for CR that would have a positive influence on Ellie, looking for CR that would have a negative influence on Ellie. Looking for friends for Ellie, looking for enemies. Would love CR where Ellie can just be a kid, be that CR with other kids or CR with adult characters that like kids. Would love CR where people teach Ellie things, guide her, encourage her. i would freakin' love cr between these two. (i loved the shit out 'edge of tomorrow'.) if ellie and cage got to know each other, i can see ellie really warming to him. miiiight think he's a bit crazy, might think he's a bit of a dick, but hey, all she's ever really known is crazy and people being dicks, so she'd feel right at home with him. if he likes puns and bad jokes, ellie will probably think he's the best.

also. cage should totally train ellie to shoot whizzing robots things in matrix simulations.

I've got a thought for you, if you're interested: I wrote into my app for Dust that he'd been conscripted into a couple of extractions shortly after his own to save people who otherwise would have been killed. The timeframe is right, the TLOU Matrix is definitely a dangerous one for operatives, maybe Ellie was one of them?

Either way, Dust is the sort of person who functions a lot better if he has someone to banter with and trade lighthearted jibes.

ooh yes! so, dust extracting ellie? i'm so very down with this! :D not sure how familiar you are with tlou canon, but ellie was extracted just at the point where [SPOILER ALERT IN CASE YOU AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH THE GAME AND PLAN ON PLAYING IT?!] she basically drowned in the tunnel.

ellie definitely is not going to be in a lighthearted place but she'll be frantically trying to cope by pretending everything is fine, be that through asking way too many questions or sharing dumb puns. so, yes. someone for ellie to banter with and trade lighthearted jibes is awesome. :D

Dust never has much in the way of actual answers to give to her questions, but bantering to keep his sanity in the face of confusion and a lack of knowledge? He can do that like a professional.

And he's a good person to have helped her with the whole 'everyone has some super platforming skills while plugged in' part of training, since that kind of thing is natural for him.

Captain in some ways acts very much like a stupid teenager despite the fact that they are a tall, spindly androgyne that was extracted from a world 90 or 100 years forward of the kind of teen-y stuff that they like to drop into conversations! Regardless, they love puns, stupid jokes, comic books and internet memes, is also highly impulsive and doesn't understand the concept of keeping their mouth shut. Captain swears also: terms such as 'you boobish bitch!' can be expected at the worst of moments, but most round on 'you jiggly noodle' or taking names and twisting them!

In any case, if she doesn't go into hostile dislike mode around them, Captain is the sort to put people onto missions that... often make no sense, but shh. They often like to go on quests and adventures, and right now that means sneaking into parts of Zion that they haven't explored yet! A sneaking companion would be admirable!

absolutely yes to teaching her weapons! ellie only knows how to shoot rifles, small pistols, shotguns and bow and arrows, how to jump on someone's back and stab them to death, and how to craft homemade explosives and homemade medical kits. has no clue how to handle any other kind of weapon. so yes!

would you like this cr to already be to some degree established? or start from scratch? i'm cool with it either way! ellie has been unplugged for only three, going on four months, so if we did go with something already established, it would likely be that ellie is cautiously acquainted with bucky.

bucky's only been unplugged just shy of a month at game start, so probably we'd have to start from scratch unfortunately! unless ellie is included to hang around the bald floppy baby barge where people are going through rehabilitation. i'm game for just kind of throwing them together whenever the opportunity arises though!

natasha's been unplugged about the same time as ellie, maybe a little longer -- i feel like if she saw her undergoing rehab and training she'd chat since i feel like natasha could have a real serious weakness for taking tough little girls under her wing since she was forced to mature really fast too.

oh man, yes. and like i mentioned further up to the emma swan mun, ellie really needs more female role models in her life. also, just the fact that natasha is a freakin' superhero in her matrix world - ellie will have nO END OF QUESTIONS.

but yeah, if they meet during rehab, it would be fair to say that, at least from ellie's place, she would be pretty guarded and distant towards natasha, however would probably start to get attached to her if natasha was looking out for her and making sure she was safe. not that ellie can't look after herself - she's more than capable of doing that - but she is terrified of ending up alone.

from what i know of johanna (only seen the films, haven't read the books), i think she would potentially remind ellie a lot of riley. which, you know. would have the potential to be awesome cr. riley was totally a semi-negative influence on ellie, encouraged her to do shit she wasn't supposed to do, wasn't afraid of authority, was sharp-witted and sarcastic, and yet she was also the best influence on ellie because she drew ellie out of her shell and taught her that it doesn't matter how bad things are, there's always something worth fighting for.

haha ellie would be SO CONFUSED by someone having good manners/being actually respectful/being obedient. ellie is a good kid but she is in no way obedient. lmao. but yes, yes, yesss. i would LOVE a big sis figure for ellie! i'm not familiar with 'the 100' (i should change this!!) but i do know that it's got a whole apocalyptic theme going on, which means ellie and octavia would at the very least understand each other, even if the apocalyptic situations they're from are vastly different.
