General Reputation:

Skye hasn't been unplugged long enough to have a reputation of any kind, but anyone who participated in the team to pull her out would have heard the icky horror stories about the way she brought death everywhere she went within her Matrix. Whether you put stock in pre-Real is another matter entirely, of course. Relatedly, her Matrix was one of superheroes, aliens, and secret spy organizations, all of which would be fairly basic knowledge for anyone who'd talked to her or seen it.

In the Real, she's proving stubborn, trying to speed through her physical therapy and growing frustrated with herself while showing some difficulty in disconnecting the Matrix from the Real and truly leaving it behind.

Looking For:

It'd be great to find some people who want to have participated in the team to do her extraction! Since it will have happened two weeks prior to game start and I know a lot of people came in planning to be much more established than that.

Similarly, I'd like to find her a crew to latch onto, and anyone who'd like to debate and discuss the philosophy of the Experience Machine and associated realities with her as she tries to muddle through her self-actualization. Pls note that Skye doesn't know philosophical terms for any of that stuff, just that she'll be going through the practicality of exploring it.

Also doctors who are maybe doing physical therapy?

Notes:

Skye's available for all your programmer-y, hacker-y needs. She's predisposed to talent with computer systems, and was primarily self-taught (no matter what Miles Lydon would tell you) within her Matrix.

Eventually, I want to get her looking into whether someone who died in the Matrix could possibly still be alive in the Real (or in another Matrix) because of Trip and her mother.

SO THE QUESTION IS since they've clearly been extracted within a month or so of each other, are they from the same matrix or just amazingly similar iterations? i'd be interested in the conversations spawned by the latter (and schroedinger's coulson) tho timeline-wise given both their pull points the first could also totally work.

either way natasha's going to have an interest in anyone who knows shield for obvious reasons. so.

I'm ok with both!! I think it'd be pretty interesting if they were extracted from the same matrix and Natasha beginning to question sort of snowballed in a way that provided a trigger for Skye to start questioning, but I also find schrödinger's Coulson very compelling eagjekg deciSIONS.

i think we'll run into multiple iterations either way with the fact that other films/parts of the mcu don't line up as cleanly with AOS? so maybe take advantage of the chance for these two to def line up to be same matrix-y maybe.

yeah! i mean jeeps and jenni are both still apping in but with intentions for steve and bucky to be same-matrix as nat, and i kind of roped melissa into it since gotg has zero impact on anything, so you know, we could all just be one big happy weasley family. some ship mass-mining this one matrix. idk if it works like that.

Oh, delightful, a newbie who plans on becoming an Operator who might hopefully be gullible enough or 'fuck the police' enough to allow anomalous civilians to try plugging in?!

Captain doesn't have much in common with your 'wanted' list but if you are up for weathering the silly-storm that inevitably centers around this character, I'd love to eventually give them an excuse to bust out their ridiculous matrix skills one day. Captain's pretty out of phase with reality but an Operator willing to humour them and give them a chance might help to show that they've got a hella useful side... and by that point I'm hoping that Captain will be more settled and more in touch with reality, so hopefully a touch less ridiculous!

In any case, if you want someone who can divine a way to Skye's mom and Trip, Captain has methods of stumbling over things, at least in their original matrix. They might be a good person to use as a plot-point towards stumbling over clones in other matrices!

Skye is exactly the kind of reckless to let anomalous civilians plug in once she's on a ship and trained up. She'll be starting at pretty much base zero with her training, but that means she'll be in Zion for Captain to build a relationship with that would give him groundwork to try and plug in once she does join a ship.

Ahhhh excellent! Any interest in establishing some pre-existing CR, if just a run-in or so? I think that Captain probably has the run-down of some Operator-y stuff. Not enough to be proficient but having soaked up some info; just enough to fake that they might know more.

It could be that Captain helps Skye get connected with training by marching into the Council or something, too. They might attempt to promote randomly met friends up through the ranks on a lark, here, if they saw potential for their own later advancement.

2) imma dance around spoilers but bucky is probably going to have more difficulty than previously anticipated believing that the jack-in consoles are not mind-wipe machines cleverly disguised by this really elaborate HYDRA-induced hallucination AND I WOULD LOVE to have skye involved in helping alleviate that, maybe by explaining the tech side a little??? (good luck skye) (no but like a 1945-appropriate explanation would help a lot ok)

Have you already got people who unplugged her, because Kate could've been involved in that if you still need people? Alternatively or in addition they could've just run into each other in the training facilities somehow-- Kate would definitely be someone willing to discuss the difficulty of accepting the Matrix/Real situation if that fits what you're looking for at all. Or trading real-world physical or Matrix training for some tech lessons, since that's a weak point for Kate. Whatever! I'd just love to get a chance at Skye cr if you're up for it.

I've got her training with Bucky for physical stuff, so I'd really like Kate to be part of the team that unplugged her! I talked about Ben/Anya maybe being on that extraction team at the time and no longer being with it—could that jive with Kate's ship situation?

That could totally work if it's cool with her! Kate's ship wasn't the Nidhoggr though and I saw a mention of that being the one that she got fired from so it might involve Benny/Anya having been fired/quitting twice or maybe still with Kate's NPCs for the moment or something? But other than it being an NPC crew Kate's looking to leave her situation is very flexible.

dorian's been unplugged from 7 months prior to acceptance, so he could have been around at some point when she was recovering to be like hey i mixed up these herb things, they will make your life suck a little less? or maybe i'm just giving you post-apocalyptic weed? whatever? also, he's had to really bust his ass to try to catch up to zion's level of technology, and i haven't yet found anyone outside of Random NPC that would have helped him with that. maybe skye could help?
