Character name: Natasha Romanoff.
Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Job/Role: None yet, but I'm open to working something out.
General Reputation: Natasha is really new. So far the basis of her reputation would be that she was already looking for the reason for the inconsistencies in the Matrix when initially approached and freed; her determination to get fully physically capable in the real world to the point of pushing herself dangerously; and her seeming acceptance that her entire life was a lie of virtual reality. She's really, really adaptable and it might be easy to mistake her for being awake longer than she has been.
Looking For: I'm looking to establish who actually went into the Matrix to talk Natasha through her choice to leave, and taking volunteers from pretty much anyone with the experience to be doing that. The rest of the initial crew who saved her could make for some good established CR too, and anyone working in recovery services like physiotherapy or acupuncture.
Also, if you're a castmate and you want to be from her Matrix, that's awesome, let's work out who was released first, if they've spoken, etc.
Other than that, I'm open to making plans for future CR with absolutely anyone. I'd like to get her a job and establish her in the world but I don't really have concrete plans yet!

Captain also pushes hard, but their version is usually to push others. That might be an entertaining train of CR: "WORK HARDER BE BETTER" "I AM" "NEIN MORE BESTEST!"
Of course, if that's not what you're interested in, lemme know if I'm treading too much on you! This un's a wildcard and I'm sure will not be to everyone's taste in terms of CR.

I don't really have anything to offer with preestablished CR because I think Johanna would be kind of terrible at talking anyone through a choice to leave. or really good but very abrasive. but she's been unplugged for about a year and a half, and she's been working as an operative with various crews. so if you don't get any hits for that preestablished CR maybe we can work something out? even if she was just on the team. idk. thinking thoughts. really I'm just excited!

Alsoooo history-wise so far I've been leaning toward Bucky not remembering Natasha specifically yet until we see what Age of Ultron gives us, but Agent Carter made it look likely their respective training programs had at least some overlap and also he....speaks bad Russian at her when she shoots him in the face?? (That's basically romance, right.) So. U kno me I'm ready for anything. What are your thoughts. /microphone

i used to be so solid on my natasha pre-history (and stole a lot from the comics and the black widow script that never saw the light) but now i'm so worried about getting jossed by aou that i don't want to be too definite about anything.
i'm still hinging everything on that 1984 birthdate from tws so even if they link fennhoff's work with hydra and brainwashing to the russian program, i feel it's more likely that she was somewhat after his time. but since he interfered in her mission and she tried to track him down they were probably aware of each other (thus the russian?) either way natasha would be wary about bringing it up because like. hey do you remember that time you shot me?
or maybe she'll bring it up all the time.

i am all for continuing our test drive thread though if you'd like! or moving forward if that ends up being clunky, I'm easy. in either case, they'd have a decent rapport by now at least.
and rad i will continue to be make vague-hands re: history in that case. i am kind of holding out hope that they'll have some more substantial history together, although with the timelines as they are, something comics-like doesn't seem likely. but either way it doesn't seem worth headcanoning before May, so. We'll see.
