Don't worry, I got the game the week it came out. ;)

Dust never has much in the way of actual answers to give to her questions, but bantering to keep his sanity in the face of confusion and a lack of knowledge? He can do that like a professional.

And he's a good person to have helped her with the whole 'everyone has some super platforming skills while plugged in' part of training, since that kind of thing is natural for him.

this promises to be suuuuper interesting, actually, because ellie is not going to handle having been ripped away from getting to the fireflies well AT ALL. this cr has the potential of having both negative and positive sides to it for that reason, especially with dust having unplugged ellie just when she was so close to getting to the fireflies. like, that was ellie's sole reason to keep fighting to stay alive and having something to fight for. aaaaand then she was unplugged and found out it was all for nothing. CUE EXISTENTIAL CRISIS THAT IS TOO BIG AND COMPLEX FOR STILL DEVELOPING ADOLESCENT BRAIN TO DEAL WITH.

...I'm not sure how much you know about Dust: An Elysian Tail, but Dust got unplugged right before his climatic battle with the final boss that was his destiny, so he understands.

Actually, spoiler space, he understands what she's going through pretty well, since one of his two souls (or minds, in Matrix terms) is about her age.
