Captain is one to banter, but they are also not very grounding in reality! If Dust is desperate enough to need banter and is willing to forsake the aspect of being in touch with the rest of Zion, this might be a good character for him!

In any case, if Captain's luck holds true in other matrices, if these two wind up together on a mission I suspect phenomenal things. Captain faced dozens of death-inducing situations in their own matrix that they avoided because of flukes of luck! That luck even passed on to others so long as they did what the Captain said. Could be a kickass but completely ridiculous combo! ;3
